Ultimate Solutions, a Massachusetts based company, was founded in 1999 with a vision to provide developers of embedded systems with a single channel to procure a wide spectrum of professional grade development tools. USI´s product lines target the most commonly used general purpose CPUs and programmable DSPs available in the market today. In 2007, the company developed and released the industry´s first Eclipse based debugger optimized for use with GDB and Abatron´s BDI2000 and BDI3000 BDM/JTAG probes.
Buy tools from the tools guy, not the semi guy!
Unlike many semi-distributors whose core competancy is to sell chips, USI´s knowledgable Sales Engineers are well versed in selling development tools. They understand the questions to ask to properly configure the right tools at the right price for your embedded development environment. For those of you who wait until the last minute to buy your tools, USI is a stocking distributor and in most cases can ship product off the shelf.
Dave Chameleon PPC405EP
The PPChameleon Evaluation Board and Development Kit supports ready-to-use CPU modules based on the PowerPC 405EP. All native buses and interfaces of the microprocessor are on the board or routed to separate connectors. Therefore, users may perform full on-board tests. A complete software suite, PELK (PowerPC Embedded Linux Kit) is provided with PPChameleon Evaluation Board. This software not only allows a straightforward use of the GNU toolchain, but is also continuously up to date and maintained with new peripherals, applications and drivers. [mehr]
Dave B2 - ARM7TDMI
B2 is a vertically integrated "network engine" equipped with proper hardware and software resources. B2 has been designed in order to offer a cost effective answer to networking issues. B2 dramatically shortens the time, cost and troubleshooting pains that are usually needed to network an electronics device, just by plugging B2 in! Modules are supplied with either customized application or with embedded bootloader that allows users to develop and load their own applications. In fact both eCos and uCLinux have been ported to B2 hardware. [mehr]
DAVE Parsy - ARM920T
Parsy is a CPU Module based on the well-known ARM920T series designed for portable applications. Main characteristics are very low intrinsic power consumption due to CPU (i.MX family), mobile memories, optimized drivers and peripherals, and compact size factor. Also included is 3.0V single power supply source with on-board regulations suited for battery supply. [mehr]
DAVE Zefeer (EP93xx/ARM920T)
Zefeer CPU compact modules are ARM920T based peripherals native with the family of modules act like a "host" (USB, Keyboard, LCD controller, IDE). Therefore, typical applications of this module are interactive terminals, kiosks, advanced instruments, info-points electronics, and in general everything that must look like a PC without being a PC and without the cost of a PC.
The development boards described below are available with Zefeer CPU board families: Linux (ZELK), windows CE (ZWCK) and eCos (ZECK). They will be associated with two kinds of Evaluation Boards (EVBZ). The first (EVBZL) will have a DZB module (EP9302), the latter (EVBZH) mounts a DZQ module (EP9315). Of course this is due to the fact that the highest microprocessor family (>9303) is provided with an abundance of interfaces, while the lowest (9301 & 9302) are simpler.
The iCM4011 is a low-priced, small development kit for applications that require an embedded and autonomous processor. The processor is preprogrammed at the factory with firmware developed by ingenia; bootloader, that allows for reprogramming of the device. A program can be loaded through either an RS232 or USB port in a few seconds without the need of an external programmer.
UIB-PC104 is a User Interface Board that enables the interaction between humans and control modules to its main socket, through input and output sources (widely known as human interfaces). The design of a user interface affects the amount of effort the user must expend to provide input for the system and to interpret the output of the system, and how much effort it takes to learn how to do this. The design of the UIB-PC104 provides users with an efficient and effective training tool. [mehr]
